1. Purpose
This Acceptable Use Policy keeps UrlTestly safe, fair and legal for everyone. It applies to all use of the Service.
2. Permitted use
UrlTestly is designed for checking the reputation and safety configuration of publicly accessible websites — your own, or ones you are considering trusting. Reasonable, human-paced scanning is always welcome.
3. Prohibited use
You must not use the Service to:
- Attack, overload, or attempt to disrupt any website or the Service itself.
- Scan internal, private or non-public systems, or systems you have no right to test.
- Submit private IP ranges, loopback, link-local or internal hostnames.
- Circumvent rate limits, authentication or access controls.
- Use results to harass, defame or target any individual or organization.
- Break any applicable law or regulation.
4. Security controls
To protect networks, the scanner follows only http:// and https:// URLs and re-checks the destination after each redirect. Attempts to bypass these controls are a violation of this policy.
5. Automation & rate limits
Free scanning is rate-limited per visitor. Automated or high-volume scanning requires a paid plan and must respect published limits. Unauthorized scraping or automation may be throttled or blocked.
6. Enforcement
We may throttle, suspend or terminate access, and remove reports, for any violation. Serious abuse may be reported to the relevant authorities.
7. Reporting abuse
To report a scam site or misuse of the Service, use our report a scam form or email [email protected].
