1. Introduction
UrlTestly is operated by Viho, a proprietorship of Seema Mehra, based in Gurugram, Haryana, India ("Viho", "we", "us"). UrlTestly is an automated website reputation and safety scanner. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We designed the product so that reports — not people — are the thing we analyze.
2. Information we collect
We collect the minimum needed to run the service:
- Scan input. The domain or URL you submit for analysis. We normalize this to a registrable domain and retain the originally requested URL for diagnostics.
- Scan results. Technical data we gather about the target website (DNS, certificate, HTTP, headers, technology and similar signals) and the resulting report.
- Basic usage data. Aggregate, non-identifying metrics such as scan counts and performance timings.
- Account data. If you register, your name and email, and, for any future paid plan, billing details handled by our payment processor.
3. How we use information
We use information to run scans, generate and cache reports, prevent abuse and rate-limit requests, operate account features, and improve the accuracy of our checks. We do not build advertising profiles.
4. Public reports
Completed reports are published at a permanent, shareable URL (for example, /review/example.com) and may be indexed by search engines when the domain resolves and the scan completes with reasonable data. Reports describe websites, not the individuals who requested them; we do not attach requester identity to a public report.
5. Sharing & third parties
We never sell personal data. We share data only with the infrastructure providers that operate the service (hosting, email, payments) and with the external sources our scanner queries, such as Google Safe Browsing, our AI content provider and domain-authority data. The core product functions even when an external source is unavailable.
6. Data retention
Reports and scan data are retained to serve the cached public report and historical scan history. You may request deletion of a specific report via the contact page. Account data is retained for the life of the account plus any period required by law.
7. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export or delete personal data we hold about you, and to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact [email protected].
8. Security
We use encryption in transit, least-privilege access and network isolation for scanning infrastructure. No system is perfectly secure, but we work continuously to protect the data we hold.
9. Children
UrlTestly is a general-audience technical tool, is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
10. Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be posted here with a revised "last updated" date.
